Character Profiles
THE PEOPLE OF EDGEWATER
Every character exists in relationship to your family. Some will save you. Some will damn you. Most will do both depending on your choices.
CORE FAMILY
THE SIGNIFICANT OTHER
Age: Player defined
Your partner, if you have one. Customizable or generated. Has their own opinions about how to raise your child.
Can be your greatest ally or your most complicated obstacle. Can stay, leave, cheat, or die.
Player 2 in co-op. Party Slot 2 in combat.
THE CHILD
Age: 0-30 (across gameplay)
The center of everything. Born with a prophecy attached. Grows from infant to adult across thirty years of gameplay.
They watch you. They remember. They keep score.
Who they become depends on who you are.
THE SIBLING (The Aunt[s] & Uncle[s])
Age: Player defined (relative to you)
Your brother or sister. Same parents, different outcome. Carries the same damage in different ways.
To your child, they're the fun one. The one who lets them do things you won't. The one whose house feels like freedom.
Might be a safe haven. Might be an escape route you can't control.
THE COMMUNITY
SISTER MIRIAM CROSS
The Cult Leader
Age: 52
Former corporate burnout. Found "enlightenment" abroad. Returned to build the Fellowship of the Eternal Light on Greenfield's outskirts.
Targets the lost. Offers belonging, purpose, unconditional acceptance. Everything a struggling teen needs.
Not technically a cult. Technically.
CHAD ERIKSON
The Youth Pastor
Age: 29
Grew up in Edgewater. Found Jesus in college after a rough freshman year. Came back to save kids like him.
Runs youth group at Edgewater Community Church. Acoustic guitar. Skinny jeans. First-name basis with teens and God.
Parents trust him. Teens love him. The game never confirms if that trust is earned.
DANTE MORALES
The Bartender
Age: 44
Inherited The Anchor from his father. Been pouring drinks for twenty years. Heard every confession Edgewater has to offer.
Your spot when you need to escape. Where the parenting mask comes off.
Serves temptation literally. Won't judge. Won't stop you either.
COACH RICK THORNTON
The Football Coach (Greenfield)
Age: 58
Third-generation Greenfield. Played for the team. Now runs it. Three state championships.
Friday nights are religion. He's the high priest. Builds boys into men. Breaks some in the process.
The town will always side with him. You'll have to decide if that matters.
ABIGAIL TORRES
The Favorite Teacher
Age: 47
Lincoln High English teacher. Twenty years in the classroom. Still believes in every student.
Sees your child. Actually listens. Might notice things you've missed.
Your child might trust her more than you. Useful. Also stings.
SANDRA FITZGERALD
The CPS Caseworker
Age: 38
Social work degree from State. Fifteen years in the system. Caseload that would break most people.
She's seen abuse and she's seen false reports. Doesn't want to take your child. Will if she has to.
If she knocks on your door, you're already losing.
THE COSMIC
THE VOICE
Age: Unknown. Timeless. Irrelevant.
The entity that delivers the prophecy. Speaks twice. Beginning and end.
No form. No gender. No clear motive. Shows you what your child might become. Leaves you to act.
Is it warning you or testing you? You won't know until the end of everything.
